BOREAS RIVER
10 miles - Class III-V
April

The Boreas is hard to catch. There are no dam releases and the river rises and falls very quickly. If you are lucky enough to get on the Boreas when it has water, you will not be disappointed. This is a very seldom paddled, intense, technical river featuring the longest continuous stretch of Class IV whitewater in the Adirondacks!

Previous rafting experience is requested on this challenging run. Paddlers will be required to make critical moves in quick succession. We reserve the right to move trips to the Hudson or Moose if river levels are too high, too low, or if participants don't have adequate experience.
